Joey Jenkins was raised in Northern Idaho and knew from a very young age that he wanted to be in sports broadcasting. Though his dad thought he would be a TV weather man, Joey ended up as a sports radio host.
At the young age of 18, Joey started working professionally in sports radio. He started out in local high school play-by-play and hosted a weekly prep sports talk show. While in college, he started working at Inland Northwest Broadcasting in Moscow, Idaho, where he was the host of a midday show on 1400 ESPN Palouse.
Joey graduated from the University of Idaho in 2014 with a degree in broadcasting and digital media. As a senior, Joey received the Peter A. Haggart Award for excellence in radio and television.
After four years with 1400 ESPN in Moscow, Joey landed at ESPN Boise and spent time as a producer before becoming the new co-host of The Drive on ESPN Boise.
Joey loves the NFL and College Football the most, and considers his fantasy football championships as the greatest achievement of his life. Sad, we know.
Joey is married to his beautiful wife Lauren and together, they love living in the Treasure Valley. If Joey isn’t talking about sports, or attending or watching a game, he is probably watching some ridiculous reality TV show with his wife.
