Darrell Calton


Darrell Calton is a 34 year radio veteran and has been at the helm of Impact Radio Group since August of 2008. “I still have not figured out if I am the type of person that craves and needs a major challenge or I was just so excited to be back in independent radio that I turned a blind eye to the fact that I had just taken over a struggling company in a flagging economy”, Calton said.
Crystal Castorena


Crystal Castorena has worked in radio for 18 years.  She loves working with the creative and talented people that the radio industry attracts.  One of her favorite aspects of working in radio is when she sees a well executed radio campaign succeed to the benefit of the local advertiser.   Crystal enjoys pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and she is proud to say she never stops believing.

Kay Lee Smith

KAY LEE SMITH | Regional Director of Sales

Kay Lee is dedicated to consistently serving our team, our clients, and the listeners of Impact Radio Group! She got her professional start in marketing as the Regional Marketing Director for Wyndham Vacation Ownership, owned and operated a small headlight restoration business, founded and coordinated a large tattoo and art convention then joined the Impact Radio Group team. She was recently a scholarship recipient for the Rising Through the Ranks program for the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW). 

Amanda White

Amanda White | Local Sales Manager

Amanda was born and raised a Caldwell girl, and began her radio career in Moscow, Idaho at KZFN and KRPL. She worked overnights as a DJ, while studying advertising at the University of Idaho (and trying to stay awake.) After graduating, she moved to Boise and has been a well-respected account executive since 1998. She’s been in the game for almost 20 years now and has enjoyed working with some incredible people in this exhilarating industry. She was recently a scholarship recipient for the Rising Through the Ranks program for the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW). She’s a diehard Chicago Cubs fan, a coffee addict, and admittedly watches too many reality television shows.

Ian Perry | Regional Director of Engineering

Ian Perry has been involved in radio since childhood, getting his Amateur Radio License at 13 years of age and landing his first job in broadcast radio at 17. He spent the first five years of his career as an on-air personality at several different stations in Northern Nevada before joining the US Navy in 2001. After serving for five years on submarines he returned to his passion of Broadcasting in 2007, this time as an Engineer. Ian joined Impact Radio Group in December of 2013 as Director of Engineering.

James Garner | Regional Operations Manager

James oversees programming for our 13 radio stations in Boise and Twin Falls. James Garner is a lifelong resident of the Treasure Valley (Yes, his real name is James Garner. No, he is not James Garner the movie star). James has over 16 years of experience in Boise radio and has been the creative genius behind 96.1 Bob FM since 2010. Born and raised in the Treasure Valley, James is a husband and father of five children. From snow sports to jet skiing, James enjoys all the outdoor activities Idaho has to offer.

Olga Espinoza | Regional Business Manager

Olga Espinoza is originally from Nicaragua and started her journey at Impact Radio Group on the street team in 2010. Her strong work ethic and great attitude have since made her an indispensable part of the Impact management team and she currently oversees the entire traffic, admin, and billing departments.  She hasn’t only fallen in love with Idaho, but also with the radio industry. “These years in radio have been a real adventure.  I love it when a new client gets to try radio for the first time and has successful results”, Olga said. She loves working with the best salespeople in town and always looks forward to helping them so they can provide the high level of customer service that Impact’s clients deserve.
